Herons Bed and Breakfast is an eighteenth century cottage ideally placed for a visit to Cambridge (UK). We offer non-smoking bed and breakfast accommodation in a friendly, family atmosphere. Herons Bed and Breakfast is a warm and welcoming family home set in the beautiful South Cambridge village of Great Abington.
Cambridge City Centre is just 20 minutes bus ride away, (buses run every 30 minutes), and contains the beautiful and historic buildings of Cambridge University with its colleges, the River Cam and many shops, banks, restaurants and cafés.
Great Abington is home to the TWI (the internationally acclaimed Welding Institute) and is 20 minutes walk from Babraham Institute. London is 45 minutes away by train, the nearest train station is 20 minutes by bus. Duxford Air Museum is 3 miles away and Stansted airport 35-40 minutes by car.
ACCOMMODATION
We have two rooms, one double and one single occupancy. Rates are £30 p/n for the single and £65 p/n for the double.
Herons B&B is a Grade II listed 18th century cottage on the high street of Great Abington. Accommodation comprises one singe bedroom and one double bedroom. Bathroom and shower is shared between the two rooms upstairs and is seperate from the landladies bathroom.
Both rooms have working televisions with free terrestrial channels (sorry, no satellite - you're not allowed dishes on listed buildings!).
Breakfast is served every morning, however we do not provide evening meals. There is a wide variety of restaurants within easy reach of Herons B&B to choose a location for your evening meal. Breakfast is a choice of full English, continental or cereals - if you have any special dietary requirements please let us know and we'll be able to take care of it.
The atmosphere here is homely, cozy, friendly and relaxed.
